This tool accepts an incomplete 9×9 grid and searches for a completion that satisfies the classic Sudoku rules: the digits 1–9 cannot repeat in any row, column or 3×3 box. The search runs in your browser and fills the empty cells when it finds a compatible result.
Any number you enter is treated as fixed. If you include an uncertain guess, the solver must preserve it and may report that no solution exists even when the original puzzle is valid.
A filled grid is one solution consistent with the clues you supplied. It can help you compare a completed puzzle or inspect a cell that blocked your progress. The tool does not reveal a single-cell hint, narrate human solving techniques, rate difficulty or show a step-by-step proof.
Finding a completion does not prove that the puzzle has exactly one solution. A sparse or homemade grid may have several valid completions, and this solver displays the first one it finds. Puzzle creators should use a dedicated uniqueness checker before publishing a grid.
First look for a repeated digit in a row, column or box. Then compare every clue with the source, especially adjacent cells that are easy to transpose. A grid can pass the immediate duplicate check and still have no possible completion because its clues contradict one another later in the search.
